Three parts. Two points of views.
Never one to care what others think, seventeen-year-old, Mt. Henry High School student, Skylar James, is content with it that way. That is until she's assigned her history partner, rich-boy Kane.
Being invisible at Rushton High School, is just how seventeen-year old Alexandra Harmony likes it. That is until she's asked to tutor bad-boy Tristan.

Skylar:
“Tell me about it. I wish I caught some very long lasting disease over the weekend, and then I wouldn't have to deal with being matched up with a partner in History today.”
Skylar:
“Yeah, hi. I'm, um, Skylar,” I uttered looking at him for the first time. He was your usual jock type; tall broadly built, short dark brown hair that hung too long in the front, nice warm golden eyes. Nice? Warm? Where did I pull that from?
Skylar:
“Kane, Kane wait. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that.” I grabbed his arm to stop him. He turned, grabbed my shoulders and kissed me. It was only a short kiss, but God-all-mighty I felt it right down to my toes. Imagine if he had of used tongue. “And I shouldn't have done that,” He said and continued to walk off. Alexandra: I couldn't help it, I gaped. Was she serious? Me, help Tristan, with Math’s. Me in a room alone with Tristan. Me?
Alexandra:
“You don't like me do you?” He asked. I paused what I was doing and looked at him. “I don't know you. Anyway, would you really care if I didn't?” He shrugged and stood. “I guess not. See you tomorrow, Alex,” He said and left.
Alexandra:
Tristan laughed pulling me close again into his embrace. “You cannot tell me that was your first kiss.” That made me laugh and blush. “Well no, but you’re the second.” “Hmm, I think I like that.” He grinned a big toothy grin which made my insides curl.

5 Remembering my Youth Stars

As big as the world seems we are all connected in some way, shape, or form! Senseless Attraction reminds of this. This young adult novel is flawless! People from relatively different worlds unite. The connections are breath-taking and made me speechless. Life can change in the blink of an eye, and what is around the corner can change the course we are on.
Lila Rose wrote this novel in a way that the characters felt like they came directly out of my high school. She is an author I look forwarded to reading more of!

Lila Author PicLila Rose lives in country Victoria Australia with her husband and two children. When she isn't writing she's trying to control her mob from killing each other and helping her husband with the family business. Lila Has always dabbled in writing, though, only recently will have her debut novel Holding Out released in December 2013. Then she'll just need to find time to bring out more from the Hawks Motorcycle Club series.

Bully and victim.
Tormenter and tormented.
Villain and hero.

Ellie Mccallum was the bully. The Tormenter. The Villain. Taking what she wanted, stomping over anyone that got in her way. Feelings, futures, and relationships be damned. She felt no emotional connection to anyone or anything. A sad and lonely existence for a young woman who had come to expect nothing more for herself. Her only happiness coming from making others miserable.

Particularly Freaky Flynn.

Growing up, Flynn Hendrick was known only as “Freaky Flynn.” He lived a life completely disconnected even as he struggled to become something more than that boy with Asperger's. He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynn’s worlds crashing down.

But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.

And moved on.

Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.

When labels come to define you, finding yourself feels impossible. Particularly for two people disconnected from the world who inexplicably find a connection in each other.

And out of the wreckage of their tragic beginnings, an unlikely love story unfolds.

But a painful past doesn’t always want to let go. And old wounds are never truly healed…and sometimes the farther you try to run from yourself the closer you come to who you really are.

Words can not express how this book spoke with me. This my friends is the "real" world we live in, in all of it's ugly bullying forms. I cried, and I cried but every tear was well worth it. This review is short and simple, because I'm speechless. Every character was well written and flowed out of the pages. The story is told in a manner in which you know the author did her homework!
Bravo A. Meredith Walters. This will be one of the few books I will reread often!

ANDI
Our usual table is inhabited by the usual suspects – Shane, Will, Brandon and of course, Luke. He has his back to me and doesn’t know I’m here yet. So I walk to the DJ booth and tell him to queue up a song for me. I had a few drinks at the pub we just left, I’m pissed and I’m really fucking hurt, so I’m going to take it out on the stage. The song, Just A Fool, is actually a duet between Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, but tonight I’m singing it solo. And I’m singing it with every bit of emotion I have bubbling just below the surface of my cool façade. The lyrics are perfect for me right now. I obviously feel like a fool because I can’t get over him and I can’t let him go, but I know I should. I feel like I’m weak for wanting him to make this all up to me. For even thinking I could forgive him if he would just do something to take this pain away. Love feels like a cruel joke and no one has hurt me in the way that he has. I just want to forget about love and about him, but somehow he’s in every thought I have and every move I make. I leave the stage and a friend from the gym I haven’t seen in a while stops me and asks me to dance with him. Another slow song is playing so I step into his embrace and we take the opportunity to catch up. He asks how I’m holding up, knowing how bad my life sucks right now, and I give him a non-committal shrug of my shoulders. Christina taps on my arm and her gaze suddenly shifts and I turn to see what she’s looking at. Oh. It’s Luke and he is charging forward like a bull, hell-bent on his destination. Which happens to be me at the moment. “Andi,” he barks at me. “Yes,” I reply smugly. I watch intently as he grits his teeth and clenches and flexes his hands. His anger is barely contained and he’s working hard at restraining himself. I know I’m not helping it but I’m no more in the mood to be fucked with right now than he is. “I need you to come with me,” he finally says. “No.” He nods his head, seemingly understandingly, until I realize that I read him completely wrong. He just decided he wasn’t going to argue with me. In the typical method of the men in my life, he picks me up with ease, throws me over his shoulder, and charges back to the front door. People watch with amused expressions as I scream obscenities at him like a lunatic until he reaches the door. Then I realize we’re going outside and there may be cameras that catch me actually acting like a lunatic so I stop. “Luke – do not walk out that door with me over your shoulder. I’m in the news enough as it is. I don’t need to add any more to it,” I say in my sternest voice possible. This stops him in his tracks and I know he hears the words I didn’t say – thanks to your family. He puts me down but doesn’t let go of me. “Then walk with me like a normal person would.” I sigh heavily, not hiding my dislike of his demand, and respond with the typical pissed-off female response. “Fine.”

When I finally spot him sitting at a table in the corner, my heart stutters, pounding in my chest as he takes my breath away. With his chin-length blonde hair and stunning blue eyes, he is the epitome of perfection. His eyes scan the crowd as he lazily tips his beer back, his throat smoothly gliding up and down with each swallow. He sits there, watching the crowd while he talks to the guys, and has no freakin' idea how much I want him. It should be illegal to look like that.
When I move into his line of vision, his eyes narrow on me, piercing, as if he's mentally undressing me. I walk to him, slowly, swaying my hips seductively. He can't tear his eyes off me. I wanted to drive him wild, and I succeeded.
"I've been waiting for you." I can't really hear him over the music, but I read his lips. There must be something about wanting what you can't have because his lips are suddenly more appealing than they've ever been. I can't look away, even when they turn up in a knowing smile. He caught me, and he knows it. "Now I see what took you so long." His eyes slowly move down my body, lingering on my feet, before traveling back to my face.
When he wraps his hand around my waist, his thumb grazing the exposed area, I look into his eyes. They are smoldering, filled with promise, and I know this little plan of mine is backfiring.
I so suck at revenge.
Quincy pulls out a chair and sits, her movement bringing me crashing back to reality. "You like?" I ask, holding my hands out to my sides and turning in a circle.
"Like? Sunshine, if we weren't right here, right now, I'd say to hell with the bet and then I'd show you just how much I like." He lifts a hand, slowly wrapping a strand of my hair around his finger and releasing it. "I think I still might."

If you enjoy fun, refreshing, light reads this is a novella for you. Warning though you will want to read Choices first or else you maybe a bit lost.
Jenna is a girl I would love to call my best friend! She's full of love and energy. Her playfulness is a quality I love. Eric isperfectfor her. His seriousness balance's her quirkiness.
Patience takes us into Jenna and Eric's love life as they struggle with "THE BET". High stakes are on the line, a guitar is at risk. The story line co-insides with that of Choices and Fate.

I love the smooth writing style of Sydney Lane and how she has worked 3 books out of one time frame, but all holding their own vital place in the live's of her remarkably loving characters!

I grin and offer her a fresh bottle of water, which she accepts, unscrews the cap and takes a sip. Fuck, she has beautiful lips. Lips that look amazing wrapped around the head of my cock. “It’s not a crime to belong to a gym,” I reply. “My gym?” “Do you own it?” I ask with a grin. She laughs and shakes her head. “No.” “It’s not far from my apartment, and it’s convenient to work, too, so here I am.” She nods and glances down, not sure what to say next. “The cake was delicious today,” I comment casually, giving her the opportunity to talk about her work. “Oh, good!” She grins and joins me as I walk toward the smoothie bar, pull out a chair for her to drop into at one of the tiny two-person tables and sit opposite her. “I’m glad you enjoyed it.” “You do good work. Leo and Sam are always talking about your cupcakes.” “Leo and Sam keep me in business, I swear.” She laughs, sending electricity down my spine. “They’re very good customers.” I nod, watching her. “I like your shorter hair,” I murmur and reach out to brush the ends with my finger, enjoying the softness. “Most men like long hair,” she replies softly. “I like long hair, too. You look beautiful in both.” She frowns and glances away from me. “Why did you cut your hair, Nic?” She shrugs and won’t meet my gaze. “It was time for a change.” “Try again,” I reply. She turns her eyes to mine and squares her shoulders, firms her chin. “It was time for a change.” That’s a lie. I cross my arms over my naked chest and drag my finger over my lip, watching her squirm. She isn’t a good liar. Good. “Okay.” She sighs, relieved, before I continue. “For now.” She scowls at me, making me laugh. “Friends don’t lie to each other, little one. The sooner you remember that, the better.” “You’ve known me for three minutes, Matt. Don’t assume you know all there is to know about me.” “You know what they say about assuming,” I murmur with a grin. “Well, you are an ass,” she replies and then giggles. I lean in and rest my mouth next to her ear. “This ass would love to smack your pretty little ass until it glows,” I whisper so only she can hear.
