Cover Reveal for Finding The Right Girl

Finding The Right Girl
By Violet Duke

Brian Sullivan has been in love twice in his lifetime. He lost his first love to early-onset Huntington’s, and the other to his brother.  And somehow, his heart has managed to heal itself after both. Amazingly, without therapy. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t gotten a bit more cautious, however. Lately, Brian’s been thinking that maybe his brother’s now retired nothing-but-flings rule wasn’t such a bad idea after all. But as the unofficial nice guy poster boy, Brian needs some help with the whole thing. So he looks to the outrageously ‘unique,’ inexplicably enigmatic, provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels.

There’s absolutely no way he’s falling in love with this one…right?

Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert. She’s never been flung and she sure as heck doesn’t know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian. Tessa blames her temporary lapse in sanity on the can’t-help-but-fall-for-him brain fuzz that hits her whenever she’s around him. Not only does he have her being more herself than she’s ever been in her life, but he’s the only man that seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does. What’s more, he’s got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago.

A happily ever after.

Author Bio:

National bestselling author Violet Duke is a former professor of English Education who is ecstatic to now be on the other side of the page writing wickedly fun contemporary romance novels.  Besides writing and feeding her book-a-day reading addiction, she can often be found tackling reno projects with her power tools and trying pretty much anything without reading the directions first, or cooking 'special edition' dishes that laugh in the face of recipes.  Violet lives in Hawai'i with her two cute kids and similarly adorable husband.

Welcome SE Hall

SE Hall graciously volunteered to sit down with us and be the first author spotlight on the grand reopening of Cuddle Buddy Books!

Interview:
Thank you so much for sitting down and chatting with us today! I absolutely LOVE the Dane necklace you sent me!

First tell us a little about yourself, your hobbies, your family, your likes and dislikes... I have been married to my best fried Jeff for almost 18 years, and together we have 3 daughters, Lyndsey 17, Brooklyn, 11 and Shelby Jo 10. I love to read, write and watch my girls play softball. I like good ole' people, hanging out for drinks and some baggo with any kind of music playing. I dislike mornings.

What inspired you to begin writing? After reading FSOG, I keep reading and reading...and started a journal about a particular loss in our lives. My daughter, aunt and cousin talked me into trying to turn it into a book!

Coming of age, love triangles are my favorite types of reads. Are these your favorite type to write? Coming of age is definitely what I most like to write; stories of young people growing, learning, coming into themselves. I know I'm not the same person I was when I was young, and I like to write about how I wish things would have been, the boys I wished existed, the college experiences, etc...

Who is your favorite writer and why? There is no way for when to pinpoint just one...but I buy anything Olivia Cunning, Abbi Glines, M. Leighton, Kristen Proby, Madeline Sheehan and many others put out...because they're all brilliant and creative and each offer me a different experience.

What book could you read over and over again? Beautiful Disaster, My Favorite Mistake and The Wild Ones.

Living or dead what character would you like to sit down and have a few drinks with? Atticus Finch...so smart, calm, humble and caring.

Any secrets in store you can share? I am almost finished with a big surprise that I have announced...which will come out before Book 3, Sawyer's Book.

Evolve Series

Emerge (book 1)

Laney Walker is a quick witted, athletic, southern tomboy who lets few get too close, using her sarcastic zingers to deflect. She also has no idea how others view her, Evan having protected and coveted her since they were children. But college puts a gap between Laney and Evan that neither of them were prepared for- old relationships are tested, new ones are formed and nothing will ever be the same.

Especially when in walks one Dane Kendrick, not at all the familiar, southern charmer of home, but an animal all his own.

A story of growing up, friendship, loyalty, first love, primal love...and life.

April's Review

I am so sad I left Emerge in my TBR pile for so long. Had I known how much I would love it, I would have dropped every book to pick it up!

Laney is an athletic, sassy, true southern girl growing up without a mother. Her best friend is star football player named Evan. They grew up together and senior year Evan finally reveals his love for her, but soon they part ways to different collages and begin new lives.

Laney is determined to stay alone and counts down the days until she will she Evan again. That is until her roommate Bennett breaks her out of her shell and convinces her to go have fun. In a dorm room crawl Laney's life is forever changed when they enter room 114 and she meets Dane.

Dane, visiting his brother at collage, is absorbed in a video game will Tate entertains all the guests. Shortly he hears a voice that makes him turn around and take notice.

The distance between Laney and Evan starts to take a toll and Laney starts to get close to not only Dane, but the wonderful group of friends she has made. She soon finds herself questioning whether she is really IN love with Evan or just loves him as her best friend.

The story has great depth and many challenges to make it a page turner. S.E. Hall ends the book in a great spot, leaving you ready for more.

Embrace ( book 2)
Coming October 1

Evan Allen is a handsome, athletic, southern gentleman who now attends Georgia Southern University for no good reason.

After what he expected to be the romantic gesture of the century, Evan is looking at no friends, a year of ineligibility on the football team, and no girl.

He's starting over alone and doesn't know quite how to proceed. Certain members of The Crew refuse to let him face things by himself, taking him under their wing, and it doesn't take the ladies long to notice him, either.

Sometimes life doesn't go as you had planned. Sometimes it goes better.

Embrace it.

Bonus Teaser

Laney-

“Walk me to class, Sawyer?”

He stands and offers me his arm and a smirk. “That’s a real good look on you.”

“What look?” I look down at my outfit, which is nothing special.

“Happy.”

I blush, embarrassed he can see it written all over my face. “Yeah? Feels pretty good too.” I clear my throat.  “So, his birthday is coming up and I don’t know what to do. After the birthday he gave me, anything I do will seem lame in comparison. I just want to make him as happy as he makes me.”
“Wrap your naked self in a bow and blow his candle out.”

Oh dear God.

“You should see your face right now.” He bends over laughing, clutching his sides, and I whack him…for the second time today. He’s on a roll. “Okay, seriously…if I know Dane, the best thing to give him is alone time with you. No outside world or bullshit.”

“How do I pull that off? I live in a dorm and Tate lives with him right now. Alone time is scarce these days.”

“Hmmm.” Lines crease his forehead with deep thought, suddenly replaced with a huge, beaming smile and a snap of his fingers. “I got it! Dane has a cabin in Rockhurst, like 40 miles from here. Take him there for the weekend. I’ll get you directions. You could cook for him, strut around naked, whatever.”

“Really? Ya think? I was thinking maybe a puppy, for when Tate leaves and he’s all alone in that big house again.”

Sawyer laughs and wraps a ginormous arm around my shoulder. “Gidge, dogs are all well and good, and it’s true that men like them, but he’d rather have a kitty. Your kitty.”
I can feel how red my face is and I’m not sure why I let his words ever shock me. “Why do we let you speak again?”

“Cause you love me and I have great ideas, of course! Go with the cabin, I’m tellin’ ya.”
We’re at the door to my class now so I give him a quick squeeze and peck on the cheek. “Thanks, Sawyer! You’re the best!”
