Having eaten our way through garlic bread, lasagna and a delicious baked cheesecake for dessert, both Mac and I are laid up in the living room. We’re recovering from our food comas, watching some crazy game show on television where people are training to become ninjas.

“I could never be a ninja. My big belly would get in the way,” Mac muses.

“I don’t want to be a ninja, although I’d be willing to date a ninja. Can you imagine the positions that he could get into? Oh my god! I just thought of one! The reverse saddle ninja.”

Mac sits up excitedly and faces me, bending one leg under the other. “No, wait. What about a ninja doing downward facing doggie style? They could probably hang upside down from the roof while fucking you. That would be awesome,” she says with a laugh.

“I know! Instead of the vibrating V, it would be the ninja nooner or the ninja nookie!” I say, struggling to talk though my laughter.

Mac looks at her phone briefly before putting it down and looking at me.

“Everything okay?” I ask, looking at her phone.

“Oh… yeah, great. Just checking the time. But right now, we need to talk about you.” Mac sits up and rests her hands on her stomach. I’m kind of envious of her right now, but I won’t admit that to her.

“Why’s that?” I say, intrigued. Definitely didn’t see the conversation shifting from ninja sex to me. Although, if I were honest, if I had ninja sex, I’d be a happy camper. Actually, sex of any kind would be acceptable right now. Anything other than the one handed dialing of the ol’ pink telephone. I should be buying my batteries in bulk with the frequent use my purple pearl vibrator has been getting this year.

By far my favorite novel of 2013! Michelle put her heart and soul into book one of the Tempest series. Irresistible Refrain is full of raw emotion. The way Mankin portrays the ugly side of life is pure talent! I wept, I laughed, and wept more. I look forward to see what see has instore for the series!

Tempest is a group of rockers from Settle. You may recognize them as the opening act to Brutal Strength (Black Cat Record Series). Bryan, aka Bullet, is battling with himself as his best friend and Tempests lead singer, War, has what he wants. 

The guys grew up together along side Dizzy and Lace. Bryan stood in the wing watching War with Lace, while deep down wanting her for himself.

Now years later she is back and Bryan is tired of waiting in the wing. 

Lace has a story of her own. With her life self destructing before her can Bryan save her or will it be too late?

The harsh reality of drug addiction tears at your heart!

I kiss her forehead, “Here, let me pour you a cup.” I step over to my coffee maker and I pour the dark liquid into her mug. Handing it to her she smiles.

          “Did you pick this out for me?”

          The mug I got for her is pink with a vintage camera on it, with a heart in the lens and I it reads “smile.” I thought it suited her. She sets the hot mug down and picks up the vanilla syrup and pours it in, adds a little cream and stirs it slowly. How someone can make getting coffee look so sexy is beyond me, but damn…

          I grab my own cup and I like my coffee black, so I get to sit back and watch her work her magic. She continues onto the whip cream and I can’t help but using it on her body and licking it all off. She even uses the caramel to drizzle on the top and my mind goes where the whipped cream did. She looks up into my eyes and gives me the biggest smile I have ever seen on her face and my heart skips a beat. They say it’s the little things that make you fall in love with someone…

          She takes a sip of the drink and leaves a dollop of cream on her nose. I reach out to her, and put my hand on her cheek, using my thumb I wipe it and lick it off. I sit back on my stool and watch her go on with my layout. She grabs a vanilla almond biscotti and dips it in her coffee. Bringing up a scoop of whipped cream in the end, then she puts it in her mouth slowly and takes a bite.

Fuck me.

What a way to start your writing career! I loved Danielle Torella's Private Message. It is an up-to-date erotic romance. Tess, the sweet, innocent, rock loving artist, has emotions and wants stirred up the moment see sets her eyes on the back of the human model in her art class. I slide my hand across her waist, feeling the goose bumps appear from under me. The way her body responds to me is fucking hot. It fuels me to keep going in sexual torture.
